This is a great, light weight vacuum cleaner. It is good for quick and easy cleanup. By:
Vacuum cleaners are the great black hole of life. They cost more than you want, using them provides no joy, and reviews are only marginally helpful. People either love the vacuum and claim it cleaned nothing else, or they hate them.Consumer reports doesn't help as they rate vacuums based on certain parameters, but don't use them in a home. The product feedback from owners rarely matches the review. And, there appears to be no single vacuum that works for all needs. The basement and garage needs a work vac, animals need a high power vac with rollers that don't clog with hair, and then there is HEPA and sonic and turbo and tornado and of course Dyson. My advice is that there is no one vacuum that does everything. Better to get a vacuum that may be limited, but does a few thing well. So, why do I like this one.Primarily because I have determined what I needed and limited my expectations.I needed a light weight vacuum that had power and could do a quick clean up of floors and carpet. I have a powerful and heavy vacuum with a great beater bar for the rugs.I have a shop vac for the garage work bench with a HEPA filter.I needed a simple vacuum to grab and do a quick clean up.Batteries don't last too long based on reviews, and the use of a cord is not a big problem. This one is easy to use. It folds in half and is light weight. Hang it in the closet... always ready to go. Folded in half it takes up limited space.Take it down, unfold it, and release the cord that is held in place with a hook that turns to release the cord. The cord is very long so no extension is needed. The cleaning head has an electric beater bar. Not as powerful as a Dyson, but it does the job. It will clean light carpets and shag.Turn off the beater bar and it does an awesome job on the floor. Easier than sweeping and it gets every crevice. It holds only a small amount of dirt in the basket, but it is easy and quick to empty. And for a quick clean up, it holds more than enough. It is quiet, not noisy, and doesn't have that high pitched whine that is particularly piercing. My dogs don't seem to mind it.So, if you limit your expectations, and realize there is no single one cleaner for everything, this is great. Think of it as a very powerful hand vac that has a rug/floor attachment.Fold it in half, place it in the closet, it will become your "go to" cleaner.
