Fast and cutting edge By:
NVME is the cutting edge tech for SSD now. The NAND has become old.Fast boot = Less stress...way less stress.File copy is faster, I guess. But, the boot speed is mainly what gives you the Orgasm.Haven't experienced any difference in gaming speed. Injustice 2 works at the same speed, maybe because it is capped at 60Hz. Fifa 14 is the same too.Didn't test on COD or any other 120Hz+ game. Will update if I do.

Fast. By:
I didn't think my PC could go faster, was wrong. This drive was probably one of the most impressive upgrades I have made.
Blazingly fast!!! 500GB model By:
I have been wanting to try out one of these NVMe SSD's for awhile and, boy, am I glad I did!Boot times on my 850 EVO SATA drive was around 15 seconds or so after POST. Not too shabby at all. Boot time on this 970 EVO NVMe SSD is around 3 seconds after POST. SWEET!!!!All programs launch much quicker. Saving and writing to the drive are much quicker. I really cannot find fault with the performance of this drive so far. It has far exceeded my expectations. Check out the CrystalDiskMark benchmark test.Wish it would have come with a screw to mount it down to my motherboard. I don't know if other manufacturers include one but it would have been nice. I had to go and locate the motherboard box to see if one had been included there. Luckily for me, one had been included. It was just a bit of a delay getting it installed.
Works perfectly on Macbook Air By:
Tested working on my Macbook AIr (early 2014, A1465) with 12+16pin M-key SSD adaptor. (The whole assembly length is a bit too long to fit into the end screw's slot.) I used Mac OS High Sierra installer on a USB drive to initialize it and then restore from my old disk's Time Machine backup.
Loved them so much, bought two! By:
installed one in my desktop, second in my laptop, these things are stupid fast!
Amazing! By:
With nvme and ssd always go with samsung products .. quality, peroformance and longevity. Its a bit expensive but definitly the choice everytime.
Simply incredible! By:
The attached video was the unboxing of this component when I built my new machine. After installing and getting the system up and running:Pros:- Ease of installation.- Super fast.- Decently priced- Boots to windows 10 in less than eight seconds (after POST)Cons:- Windows 7 will not recognize this device.- Does not come with an offset or screw to secure it to the motherboard. If your motherboard doesnt supply one, you will need to order one.Overall:If you're building a new machine, or adding to a system (desktop) that supports this: It is a great value, and very easy to install and use.Technical stuff:Visit Samsung's website. (Sounds a little lame, but more than M2 architecture and its capacity, there isnt much to say)
WOW! Now the SATA bus is dead! By:
WOW! 3.5GB/s seq read and 2.5GB/s seq write. I had to run the benchmark numerous times as I could not believe how fast the results were. This thing is fast. Faster than any SATA SSD RAID setup I have ever built. Burn the mother...down, damn fast. It is like ram drive fast. Using it on a Lenovo Ideacentre 720 , I5-7400, 16GB DDR4 and with latest BIOS. Never going back to SATA. M.2 is the only way forward. Want instant boot, quick response and immediate scene loading in games, want to transfer or record and edit 4K raw, your want this. WOW!
Entrega perfecta en Bogotá By:
Muy rápido y perfecto el producto. Excelente.
Costly By:
Expensive but works at Blazing speeds
Use caution if you do not have an m.2 slot... By:
I bought this intending to use it to replace my 2.5" Patriot Blast SSD that crashed. Knowing I did not have an M.2 slot on my board I also purchased a SilverStone Technology M.2 PCIE Adapter for SATA or PCIE NVMe SSD with Advanced Thermal Solution (ECM22) in order to to utilize this drive. Cloning my OS to the drive did not make it a bootable. Changing all the options I could in my UEFI Bios did not make it bootable.I ended up creating a UEFI Bootable Windows 10 USB install drive and did a fresh install to the 970 EVO. Once Windows 10 was installed I was able to reconnect my other drives and set the PCIe slotted EVO 970 as the boot drive and my system started up lighting fast without so much as a hiccup.

It's a game changer! Exponentially sped up my XPS 15 By:
If you're not running a SSD, you might as well be using dial up.This is such an easy upgrade, and for around 100 bucks you can exponentially speed up your pc.Games load faster, loading screens are slashed to moments, your computer will boot in seconds, and maybe best of all no more annoying "Clicky" noise from the old hard drive!SSDs are loads faster, but also more reliable and less easily corruptible.Took around 20 minutes to install in my XPS 15. a quick Google search will lead you to free cloning software, and once the new drive is in, you basically just copy your old hard drive onto the new one, change the boot order and you're good to go! (note, I did need to buy a P5 Torx wrench, so make sure you have the right one!) I used EaseUS Todo Backup and made the process easy (and free!)Upgrade your PC, safe yourself time and frustration, and improve your overall computing experience. I went with WD as they have a stellar reputation and I've been buying internal and external memory from them for years.

Easy to Install/ Fast Boot Times. By:
Works amazing in my new PC Build, boots Windows Quickly, can access the memory from M.2/ SSD/ HDD for different things to store in the different drives very easily and simple, works as described to be honest.
No issues By:
I purchased this drive for a new gaming rig. It was very easy to install on the motherboard. Istarted with a clean OS install so the lack of software was not an issue for me. Since it's designed for laptops it lays flat on the motherboard. As others have mentioned the speed is amazing. I haven't had any issues with the drive.
Fast By:
Fast and really fast.
Excellent Product By:
Excellent product, was received as described, was delivered at the correct time.
Quality product. By:
This is about as fast as a SATA m.2 SSD gets. Perfection. There are only a few brands I trust when it comes to solid state storage, they are Samsung, Micron, Sandisk and Western Digital. 10/10 I recommend it.
Very good. By:
easy setting and good speed. no error. I think it's good choice.

Can’t beat Crucial products. By:
Crucial is a trusted name in memory and storage, going back decades. I remember years ago, Crucial was one of the few brands of memory recommended by Mac enthusiasts for upgrades of Apple computers. The days of upgrading Macs are pretty much over, so I replaced my outgrown Mac with a custom built PC. It’s no surprise that I chose Crucial. I have never had an issue with any product I’ve bought from Crucial, and the one time in decades I’ve needed to call Support, they provided better support than Apple. This drive is fast, and I have no hesitation in recommending it or expecting a decade or more of use out of it. I know you’ll be very happy with it.
works in an hp ENVY 27P014 By:
works great in my all in one ENVY 27P014 had some difficulty finding the screw to mount it down so i drilled and tapped it for a m2x3 .5 pitch screw on my computer frame. super awsome ssd.
Fast but hot By:
Very fast, only drawback is that it heats a little, but so far is working excellent, 4 stars only for the heat.
Very fast and never heat By:
I Got the Crucial P1 500GB SSD for my hp-slimline 290-0014 desktop. The PC has a Menlo motherboard, which has an M.2 2280 port that provides PCIe 3.0 x2 only (not x4). I had no issues installing the SSD cloning my original HDD into it, and booting from the SSD. The desktop, which is powered by i7-8700 CPU, became a real beast after this upgrade.I attached a screenshot to show the R/W speed rate, and it's quite fast. However, the SSD is not functioning at it's highest speed because my MB doesn't support the PCIe 3.0 x4. It's not a big deal from me though. The SSD temperature is always below 37C (~98F) while on idle. It does go up to 60s when there are intensive reading/writing tasks going on, but this is usually normal for SSD's.The only thing that frustrated me is that there was no screw included with the SSD. The screw size is M.2 3mm D4, and it's quite expensive ($6+) on Amazon. Other online websites won't ship before two weeks (Are you serious?). I tried to find it locally with no success. So, I ended up taking one from one of my old laptops, which has a smaller head (D3), but it does work.Overall, I am so happy with the purchase so far. Will update in the future in case if I experienced any issue.
Much faster than SATA SSD, great performance-per-watt. By:
Why get it:- Much faster than SATA SSD- Great performance-per-watt and low idle power. Great for laptops.- Great Crucial (Micron) support / reliability /warranty (I used their support once on a M4 SSD)- Plenty of endurance for typical consumer use cases- Free Acronis True Image SW to clone old drive into this new SSDWhy skip it:- Not suitable for server workloads (e.g. highly transactional DBs) or people that, on a daily base, write >25GB worth of dataPerformance summary:- Data Rate: ~2.5X faster than SATA drives, ~40% less than high-end PCIe NVMe in heavy-duty workloads- Latency: ~¼ lower than SATA drives, ~40% higher than high-end PCIe NVMe in heavy-duty workloads- On typical consumer workloads (mixed random R/W low queue depth), there is no noticeable difference relative to a high-end PCIe NVMe
