For the first time in decades, I now have honest sounding monitors so my mixes translate brilliantly from the studio to the living room, car and personal media players. Five Stars By:
Just amazed at these monitors they are fantastic!
    ERMAHGERD STERDER MAHNERTERS!!! By:
Just fantastic. I was literally blown away at how detailed the sound is coming out of these. I was hesitant to spend this much for a good set for my office (some mixing, video editing), mostly music listening. I picked these up along with the Sub 10 Mk2. You can truly listen to these for hours on end without fatigue. What I absolutely LOVE about these monitors is that you don't need an equalizer. So many different speakers I've owned over the years required some shaping of the signal to get it to sound decent. Even my Paradigm Studio 100 v5, Sub 12's and CC-590's on my home theater need a bit of help -- out of the box, with no fiddling of the controls on the back, they sound superb.I would totally buy them again without hesitation.*edit* Had a small issue with the appearance of one of the tweeters, wasn't sure if it would affect the sound, so I contacted Adam Audio, fired off a couple photos and they sent me a FedEx return label. A week or so later I had a perfectly repaired speaker back in my possession. Communication all the way from beginning to end. I LOVE this company!
These are a pretty penny, lots of pretty pennies By:
These are a pretty penny, lots of pretty pennies, but worth every bit. I'm convinced these speakers were crafted by God himself, just like Adam was back in the day. With the finely-chiseled ribbon tweeter and carbon-infused cone, you can hear everything, and the 7-inch cone provides just the right amount of frequency coverage to feel what you need to feel. Of course, you can always add a sub and basically change your underwear every time you listen to music on them.10/10 would recommend.

Awesome monitors! Not sure what could be better than these - maybe if someone transcribes a piece for you?... Because you can hear everything clearly from drums to cymbals and everything in between. I like! :)
Why Didn't I Do This Years Ago By:
I had been waffling with the idea of getting a pair of really nice nearfield monitors for a very long time, probably nearly 10 years. I remember the first time I heard a pair of Mackie HR824s I was hooked. I've been longing to get a pair forever. When I finally thought about doing it a few years ago, I searched for reviews and comparisons and found these commonly compared to the Mackies, frequently favorably. I'm not going to lie, I never went and did a direct shootout to hear the difference with the Mackies. After a lot of reading I finally came to the conclusion that these were better for me. I have a quite small (10x15) room where these sit and they're only 3-4' from me. In small room tests, every review I read came out in favor of these. In a music store the Mackies may have sounded better, but most people liked these for smaller rooms. So I took them at their word and clicked order.I'm coming from a pair of Yamaha MSP5s. The MSP5s were pretty adequate. I did some mixing and audio production on them, but they're also my main displays for everything from gaming to listening to music while working on non-musical tasks. I had real problems with mixes done on the MSP5s sounding wrong on other speakers.Sometimes tinny, sometimes bass heavy, always flat. Shooting the A7X next to those is like getting out of a Ferrari and into a Volkswagon. It's just an entirely different caliber experience. How? Both are capable of putting out really amble bass in the room where I listen. The biggest difference is in bass resolution. Below 120Hz or so the Yamahas get muddy. They make the sound, they get some energy into it, but they just drone. You may not notice it until you get something capable of actually resolving in those frequencies. The A7X are much cleaner. Even in low frequencies they have a crisp and clear sound response. There's something I can't really quantify about the new speakers too. Imaging is incredible. The sound field I find myself in is really wide, and incredibly immersive. I don't feel like I'm listening to speakers, they really vanish behind their own power. It's really amazing. The other thing is fatigue. This one I don't understand that well either, but I've definitely noticed that I get fatigued listening carefully for long periods of time on any lower quality display, whereas on great displays that fatigue takes much longer to set in. I've get to get truly fatigued on these displays, which probably means I simply haven't had a long enough session with them, but for 8 straight hours I can listen with no problems. Are these the best speakers in their price category? Who knows. I didn't take the time to shoot them against Mackies and Genelec or any of the other major nearfield names. However after waiting to get really good nearfields for 10 years and working on middle-range nearfields, the difference is night and day. The sound is cleaner. Simply cleaner. So very clean. You will read reviews where people say they heard things in music they've never heard before. It's true. I hear things in music I wrote that I never heard in the recording on my old monitors. The A7X is incredible.Shoot it against your favorite brand if you want to tweak every parameter, but for clarity in small rooms these things absolutely do everything I could ask and more.
Just love these Adam monitors. Simply phenomenal from only a 7-inch speaker! By:
Pro: High end is the best I have ever heard! Lows and mids are phenomenal also-- especially from only a 7-inch speaker. Adam Audio A7X Powered Studio Monitor - (New)Cons: A bit pricey! More than I expected and is a 10/10 recommendation
Really much much better than anything else I’ve heard under $200 By:
I don’t like giving 5 stars because I always distrust those over enthusiastic reviews, but given the price, these really do deserve it.
    Great Speakers By:
My husband bought these and thinks they are great
    Great sound!. By:
Perfect for my little bedroom studio. Excellent sound.
Solid for Workshops, Lectures, & Music Composition By:
These are a game changer for both my studio workflow as well as my community outreach programs! I am able to facilitate small to medium format interactive visits to schools and other social service sites without luging around a giant PA — the sound from these little speakers is clear and satisfying. Definitely a solid purchase for low-level studio work like composition and arranging. I would not rely upon these for final mixing or mastering.
    solid By:
    yep
    Glad I bought these By:
I was looking for some good studio monitors. I was considering higher priced models but bought these instead. And I did not settle. These are great sounding studio monitors. The sound is strong without distortions, through the entire range including bass.
    Great home theater speakers. By:
I had a pair of E8 and these sound just as great in a much smaller package.Only gripe is the bright blue lights on the front, tape is definitely going over that.
PreSonus Eris E5 (pair) : CLEAN, CLEAR AND gushing with musical presence ! ! ! By:
Could not believe the musical and soundstage presence coming from these active, nearfield speakers. I hear many things that I have not previously heard coming from familiar tracks I have been playing all these years in my not so cheap home audio and theatre system. These speakers handle the whole range of music - vocals, choir, piano, violin, orchestra, band, from rock to classical without a sweat. One thing though, you have to position yourself properly and near the speakers or you will lose experiencing the excellent musical presence. The design of this speakers is really a GOOD JOB, in the real sense of the word. Delivery was FAST. Ordered from AMAZON on December 10 (Manila time) and received it December 13 using UPS and Air21 (Philippine carrier). Overall, very satisfied.

Best speakers at the price range By:
Are the pro?? No, but really good for $80, 2 powered monitors. Flat and even sound as you want from monitors. Perfect to start with. Will fit my needs. And Mackie is a known brand so that gives comfort.
Very nice studio monitors for a good price By:
These babies pack plenty of punch. I turn them up barely over halfway when making beats, and they thump pretty hard. The response is not perfectly flat, but they cover all your frequencies very adequately. If you get a nice mix on these, it'll sound nice on anything else, and what else can you really ask for? I very much recommend these monitors for anyone looking to do serious home music production.
    Sound great By:
    Came quick and sound great.
