good product By:
This is the second one we bought and we are happy with this product. The price is good for a 16 channel sound board. We didn't play too much with sound effects and other features.
Mackie is the Best By:
Always happy with a Mackie product
Awesome. By:
Awesome for home. Super clear and no distortion. Effects are great. Caution... make sure to not allow the distortion light to go on. Change the gains and volume so you get a good distribution of where the volume increases. This will remove the distortion light from flickering.
Mackie ProFx12v2 is one of the Best mid-range mixer mixer, performance wise, thumbs up! 👍🏻 By:
I happy with the performance this product, I recommend you to buy this, one of the best mixer I have.
Awesome Product By:
Just did my first podcast and the clarity was amazing! Very much looking forward to many years of working with this piece of equipment and producing great things!I bought a Mackie PROFX8V2 8-Channel Compact Mixer with USB and Effects for my new podcast because I have had prior experience with Mackie mixers and good results.I thought I had a bad board but what I had was a brain fart. My mistake or oversight made me think I had a bad board. Nothing could be further from the truth.Mackie scores big time again!
Great product, works well. By:
Works well and provides some much needed quality for my home setup. Glad to have been recommended to this by a friend.
Great features enhances your recording and editing experience! By:
Love it!
Easy to order and arrived on time. By:
Great board, easy to use and set up.
Reliable as a Mackie! By:
I bought this to replace a 15 yr old version of the same thing because it has REVERB! (ok, maybe it's not Lexicon but there's a handful of patches to choose from) and a USB output which, I believe, is a stereo image off the buss. Supposedly I can patch it into a laptop but I haven't tried that yet.My old one had a scritchy output that a good cleaning will probably fix so I'm giving it to a friend for his solo gig. I expect it'll go another 15 yrs if he doesn't use it for a floor jack.Fair warning: I've been a Mackie fan since TAPCO and have grown to appreciate a reliable but mediocre sound. Don't get me wrong, it's the best of the mediocre ones but that's all I'm gonna say until they send me a T shirt.

Perfect portable mixer for my keyboard rig By:
I've always been a fan of Mackie products, and this little mixer just proves my point again. I needed an easy way to mix all my keyboards along with my monitor feed from the main board (the monitor line feeds me everyone else's instruments + vocals) into a single stereo mix that I can hear in my noise-canceling earbuds via the headphone jack... but in a way that still allowed to send the keyboards out to the main board WITHOUT sending the monitor feed (which would create a feedback loop). In other words, I needed to hear everyone along with my stereo keyboards in the headphones, but only wanted to send the keyboards by themselves out to the house mix. This board was designed to handle exactly that kind of setup in a single device, and it sounds fantastic. I just wish this board was a little smaller though; it doesn't really fit on top of my keyboard like the smaller 4 channel version did.
Sounds great, feels solid By:
I travel with it and it holds up well. Preamps sound great, very versatile. Easy to get creative with routing and make interesting sounds combining gear.
Has different power supply than shown By:
As expected. Note: this newer Mackie mixers have a smaller power supply than show in the photo. It's a more universal 12v one that is common in the computer accessory world. I prefer this, but it's interesting that they don't show the differences in their specs. Not sure if the 12v vs +/- 18 V supply changes the audio; maybe there is a DC to DC converter inside or maybe the older versions had a 12v regulator inside? Who knows, it's just strange that they made this chance at some point, and the specs and stuff weren't updated.
Five Stars By:
came on time superb for small to medium gigs.
Fantastic mixer. Having not toyed with audio for years By:
Fantastic mixer. Having not toyed with audio for years, this was a great re-introduction to pro-sound and does a superb job for our multi-mic presentations and online feed. Solid, fantastic instructions and documentation and easy to get up and running. I do wish I had splurged for the 1202VLZ4, but the size of this is excellent as a portable device.
As good as the cart! By:
This mixer is great. This is my first review of any product, and I've bought many on Amazon. A great laundry cart was bought for me, but alas, if I'd bought it myself I would have left a review. I am drunk, but still.
It works great! The power adaptor it came with was different ... By:
I use it as a sub mixer for a live electronic rig. It works great! The power adaptor it came with was different than the picture, it was the "wall wart" type.
Great little unit for the home studio especially at this ... By:
Great little unit for the home studio especially at this price. Reliable, great sound and when configured with a DAW, provides incredible multi-tracking capability.
compact and easy to use By:
Simple, compact and easy to use. Works great
Versatile mixer, but that means complicated set-up. By:
This mixer can be complicated to set up if you're not already a sound geek, but that's only because it's so versatile. Still, I wish they'd include clearly written sections in their manual that would describe different uses more simply. And they should add a Pocaster section, since that's one of the reasons this level of mixer sells so well for them.
